Mesembryanthemum Livingstone Daisy

Please could anyone tell me why my plants, grown from seed, are now two feet tall? They are flowering but I expected them to me small.

They can grow huge. These were mine, each colour is just one seed. Keep them dead headed they'll go on for ages.

Where abouts did you grow these from seeds? I grew some in my living room and they were such a dissapointment...

All germinated but all were weak and feable and didn't amount to anything. When I introduced them to sun they just sulked and died.

Thanks Lyn, that was what I was expecting  mine to look like! Instead they are two feet high with one flower on the top. I have cut some down to see if they will sprout again & be short.

Torg22, I just sowed a packet of seeds in April, outdoors in a long trough. I kept them in a mini greenhouse, not heated and planted them out when they were large enough, into bigger pots.

Always good to pick out the tops when they are small plants, that makes them grow more shoots and makes a more dense plant.
