Greenfly

I have thousands(no joke)????of greenfly all over my lupin plants and its killing them I've tried all the methods that you find from Google but they are still everywhere in my potted plants now too ....any advice would be greatly appreciated?

    fingers or a jet of water are pretty effective

    I just run my fingers up the stems of my lupins when they get aphids on them (use rubber gloves if you don't  like the idea)  ... I also feed the birds near to the border where I grow the lupins ... they help themselves to the aphids keeping the numbers right down.
