Open an untouched grape and have a look inside. I think those are grape seeds being exposed by something which is eating holes in your tiny young grapes.. The most likely culprit is snails.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Thanks for your reply. I opened a couple and, yes, it does appear as if it is seeds popping out. There were quite a few nibbled leaves around too so you could be right.
