Identification please

Could anyone please help identify this plant. We bought it from a roadside stall and it has us and several local gardeners baffled. Thank you

    It looks a bit like polianthes tuberosa but can't say for sure until the flowers open fully.  If that one single open flower is fully open, it probably isn't this.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    It looks to me like Galtonia candicans ... a lovely thing in a summer border.  I had some in a previous garden ... must get some more ........

  • Hi thanks for the help, it turns out the plant is as suggested a galtonia.
