Hi,
I've grown camassias for the first time this year. Do I need to cut off the spent flowers stems (as you would with other bulbs), or should they be left to die down. I'm not bothered about collecting any seed.

It is better to remove them so they will put more effort into growth, but it is ok to leave them.

If you don't cut them off they self seed fairly readily, so it depends if you want some more

Hi raisingirl,
I'll actually be moving them as they've turned out to be the tall white ones ... when the ones I ordered should have been shorter and blue.
They are nice though .... so I've another spot in mind where they can go. I might leave a couple of spikes and collect a bit of seed so I can bulk up the clump in their new location.
