Moving established Fatsia Japonica

Hi there,

So I may be moving house in the next month or so, and I have two large(ish) Fatsia Japonica that I will want to move with me.  I've had them several years now and they have grown into lovely architectural plants.

Do these transplant easily?  Is there anything I should do to ensure they survive other than water them.  I'm also thinking of putting them into large pots instead of the ground because the new property has a gravel garden.  Do they thrive in pots?

Thanks!
