Obs, if only body parts and human capacity was a wee bit more uniform eh?

I remember having a chat about " keeping the British mile" and not using Km. I pointed out that the "mile" comes from the Roman "mille passus" meaning 1000 paces. So not British at all, but imposed upon us by Roman occupiers.

Oh yes, there are some who are desperate for 'personal communication' to make them feel special ... no names no pack drill image  but usually that's long established 'Hon. The Roman era is all part of British history and culture, surely, along with the Vikings, the Angles, Saxons and so on.  I very much doubt there's a pure bred Pict or Celt left anywhere in Scotland or Wales and they came form Europe anyway.

Considering this part of Northern Europe was covered in ice for a milleniar we are each and everyone an incomer why after years of living as one nation people think they should go back to their roots leaves me wondering. We are mongrels, mixed breeds since the exodus from Africa although that is now being looked at more closely, we have wandered and intermixed so who exactly are we I ask. It is true of all Countries so why all the flag waving in our very short period on this earth it means nothing. Having gone through a world war and one or two since it makes me wonder why we never learn from our mistakes. Family are all that really matters plus of course the joy of gardening,  nurturing our plants and the wonderful peace it brings as we sit and look, let all else take care of itself.

Stephieme we seem to have drifted off topic as usual!

How is the plant any signs of life yet?

No, not yet. I'm not giving up. I moved it to a partially shaded spot and I water regular. I got some citrus food. It still touch and go.

I'd like to thank all who came to my rescue. It just goes to show we aren't that different.

Watery, I loved reading your post about Riverside. Chances are we know somebody who knows somebody. Lol

Its sad there aren't as many orange trees these days. But, if the wind is blowing just right, on a warm Spring night in April, you can still smell the orange blossoms while driving down Magnolia.  They are what makes this town beautiful. ?
