What are these marks on my curly kale?

Hi
We've just got round to putting netting over the kale and broccoli but think it might be a case of horse and stable, even up here in the delayed Scottish season.
I found marks on a couple of the leaves on the kale, but no sign of eggs or caterpillers. Does anyone know what they might be from please, and should I be taking remedial action?

No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.
