Probably Comfrey (Symphytum) of some description .
or possibly Green Alkanet, Pentaglottis sempervirens
In the sticks near Peterborough
Thought of that one , but P.semp. has coarse hairier leaves . Both behave like b*****y weeds!!!!
they both have coarse hairy leaves.
My money stays on the Pentaglottis
In the sticks near Peterborough
Sod this , I'm going to bed !
Work @6.30am!
PS How much have you got ? ££££
Just a last minute thing , clicked on your profile ; sounds like my 'cup of tea' ; into unusual plants etc.. maybe communicate via the forum ?
Thanks both. Sorry for my ignorance but is Green Alkanet and Pentaglottis sempervirens the same thing? When I've googled them they appear to be. I know Green Alkanet pretty well and I'm pretty sure it's not that. The leaves look different to me and, as you say, usually hairier. At least I know it probably won't bloom into something amazing and should probably just pull them up. Thanks for your help ?
