Concrete patio slabs

Hi,

Our new build house came with small patio area using 600x600x50mm concrete slabs or council slabs as I think they are known as.

I wanted to extend the patio and due to steps already in place decided to use same slabs, from same supplier.

I have laid them but the colour does not match. The old slabs have been done for 20 months and are a darker shade of Grey.

Will the new ones weather to this colour?

Thanks

You could try and scrub or pressure wash one of the old ones to see if they come up lighter.

There could be an element of ageing / discolouration however I think the most likely answer is that the original concrete mix varied in shade as they do tend to do on a lot-by-lot basis.
