Can I move plants at this time of year?

larneymellarneymel Posts: 6

Hi all,

i am wondering if it is possible to move plants at this time of year.

i moved into a new house 10 weeks ago. I planted a load of new plants so they could get going before moving onto the house issues. It now turns out I need some pipework doing and a pipe dug under one of the flower beds.

the plants have only been in 6-10 weeks so are not established but they are in flower.

i can tell you what they are specifically if that helps?

many thanks in advance,

Melanie

Most plants should move quite easily at this tme of year but the flowers may be sacrificed as the plants readjust to the move. If they are perennials Melanie then go for it. Make sure they get plenty of water to help them settle.
