Euonymus losing all its flowers in spring

I hope someone can help. For 2 years in a row now my euonymus europaeus has lost all its flowers in spring. No flowers means no fruit! The crazy pink and orange combo was the only reason I bought it.
I was attentive this year and made sure it wasn't under or over watered.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to stop this happening again next year.
Thank you.

Here's a photo. As you can see, not one flower or fruit forming
Also some leave turning red. Is that normal?
Is the plant in a pot or in the ground?
A pic of the whole plant may be helpful.
I don't have any spindle bush, but it may help others to advise you

Hi Pete, thanks for replying. It's in a pot (as is most of my garden!)
Here's a pic . Hope you can make it out.
Wait to see what other say Amanda, but I suspect it's not happy being restricted to a pot and that's probably the reason for lack of flowers/fruit

I can't see your pot, but my guess would be it's too small. Even a small tree needs a pot of around 60cm wide and depth. When water reaches the soil surrounding the tree, the roots will search for it, making the tree grow bigger and have a strong root system that is not confined. The red forming is possibly the beginnings of the autumn change in colour. They can turn yellow and red, and the Red Cascade more red and orange.
