White hydrangea

Im pretty new to gardening having just moved into a house with some beautifully mature shrubs!
The white hydrangea is huge!!! I've noticed it's started going blue though. It's next to this bright blue one. Can anyone tell me why the white one is going blue? I thought they weren't affected by soil, is the blue one next to it a coincidence?!

A blue Hydrangea usually indicates an acidic soil ; some would class that (seeing your beautiful plants ) as very fortunate !
Thats true white Hydrangeas usually remain white. Mine had a raspery ripple pattern with it. This year it's snow white,the soil is slightly acidic.
