Too much nitrogen

I have converted an old chicken run into a soft fruit cage, but the nitrogen in their manure has caused the usual problem of too much top growth and not enough fruit.  Is there anything I can do to correct the soil balance?  I know that, apart from the autumn raspberries, it is probably too late for this year, but I would like some fruit next year!

Grow a brassica crop in there that will use up the nitrogen. Something like kale planted a foot apart should give you lots of leaves for the pot, and deplete the nitrogen in the soil.

Thanks fidgetbones: is it too late to do that this year?  Can I still get kale plants?

The garden centres will have plants, but easy enough to grow Cavolo nero from seed and then transplant. They will grow throughout the winter if it is mild again.
