Curled apple tree leaves

I have had aphids on my young apple tree ! I treated them and they all died but parts of the tree still have curled leaves which still have some aphid remains attached

Can I take the leaves off , will it harm the tree ?? Or should I just leave well alone ??

Now is an ideal time to nip the ends off of apple tree branches, especially if damaged by aphids.  It's called summer pruning and will encourage the formation of fruiting spurs further back along the branch.

How far down the branch would I need to take off?

It depends on the size of the tree but if very young, I would only remove the section with the damaged leaves, so maybe 2-3 inches.
