i wonder if anyone can identify this plant for me please? They grow in a little bit of land at the side of my house, and I wonder if they can be bought and grown in container?

Yes, you can buy them on Ebay but they're not easy to grow in containers ... they need very specific conditions and ordinary potting compost is too rich for them, and each variety of orchid needs a particular mycorrhizal fungus without which it will not grow.

Put little fences around them to keep the mower off. They might even spread and you get an orchid meadow.
There are loads of them everywhere, as I say I thought I could maybe grow them for myself but it seems a bit difficul.
