    I agree with Mary, beautiful but NOISY.  

    We can hear some from a garden 2 miles away. They started at 4.15am a couple of weeks ago. image

    Breaking news one of the brown chicks was taken possibly by a red kite this morning sad moment only 8 days old and just to clear things up it is normally only tbe peacocks cry out except when the peahens are nesting and or in season the do make a different call than the male which you soon learn to tell the difference.

    That said they are lovely to have in the garden it is a pleasure to have them around

    imageits one of these chicks that has gone missing and no its bot possible to protect them in that way nature can be cruel sometimes

    Are they pea hen chicks?  Or do they develop coloured feathers as they get older?
