Susie - I've been looking for that Monty hat too, but no joy.

The present Mrs S even tweeted the Great Man to ask him nicely where we could find one ... but no reply yet!

I'll let you know if I ever track one down image

  • Hi Susie,Steveand anyone else who is interested.

I make hats out of Rushes and Willow bark.

I travel around during the spring and summer demonstrating at Country Shows,Game Fairs and County Shows.

I get asked a great deal if I could make a 'Monty Don' Gardening Hat. So,, I have decided to start making them.

I have a Facebook page called 'Peggy Spoons  Art' also a shop on 'Etsy.'

I will be posting a picture of the finished  hat in the next few days if anyone is interested I would love to hear from you.

    Thank you,

    Peggy Spoons

I'd say that's spot on! Does it have a label?

I have googled the establishment and they do not have a website but a telephone number can be found. Diana's cost 2 whole Canadian dollars.

  • These are the Hats I have been making. Made from Raffia which I plait then sew together.
  • I’ve spoken to him about it and he can’t remember where he got it. But later, on Twitter, he told someone he may have got it isn’t he West Indies. Pussers maybe.
