Miniture Plum Tree

Hi folks, Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my Plum tree, this is it's first year with me and it has developed hols in it. At first we thought it might be the exhaust from the central heating so we moved it but it has still got holes in it. What am I doing wrong, please help me if you can? x
