I am laying some turfs can I use a normal garden fertiliser if so can you recommend one.

Tricky time of year to lay turf ... can you not delay until the autumn?

I would use Fish, Blood and Bone fertiliser.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I agree with Dove it is not the best time to lay your turf, but if you must the only tip
I would give is to water it well every evening this will help it set really well.
