White patches after using Evergreen 4 in 1
So I treated my lawn with this product and the day after noticed that there were several white patches all over the lawn. Almost like the brown stuff that came out of the spreader initially had turned snow white....I can't find any information on why this has happened so if anyone can shed any light it would be very much appreciated.
Fyi I followed the instructions closely....
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jessica - it may be that the granules haven't dissolved properly yet, leaving some residue. If the grass was dry when you applied it, there simply may not have been enough moisture there to do that fully.
It's why it's best applied to damp ground, so if you've had no rain, or very little, recently, that's the most likely reason. It's also why you need to water it in if you don't get any decent rain after a few days

Ah! Makes sense. It has been dry so I watered the lawn before I spread the granules but waited for the grass itself to dry (as dry grass is what it said on the tub). Perhaps I didn't water enough.
Thanks so much, will give it some water!
I'm sure it'll be fine Jessica. Grass is pretty resilient. As long as it gets well watered in within a few days of applying, there should be no problem. We usually have the opposite problem up here - too much wet - but I had a bit of whitening on a patch of grass too as we had the driest spring on record
