What are these?

imageimageI have a plant in my garden that has fruit which look like large blackberrie, we have been picking the fruit since mid June could they be Logan berries?

    A photo would help with identification.

  • Loganberries are red and look  like raspberries only growing on a brier like blackberries.

    My blackberries are ripening now so they could well be 'just blackberries'.

    They could be loganberries I've  been picking them since mid June. Is the plant thornless.

  • I think the clue between loganberries or blackberries is the colour of the fruit when ripe, I.e loganberries are red blackberries are black.

    I've been picking 'Autumn Fruiting' raspberries for the last 4 weeksimage.... so they may be blackberries. Everything in E Anglia has been weeks ahead of 'normal' flowering and fruiting dates this year - due to the very mild spring and warm early summer.

    Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
