Shrub/tree identification

jones_riajones_ria Posts: 3

Hiya,

Hoping you can help identify a couple of shrubs/trees please. I'm pretty sure one is a fir but wondered what kind and not sure on the other one. I mainly want to identify them to look up how much sun they need and how tall they grow.

Thanks in advance.

Pic 1 looks like a golden Lawson Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana var.) ; moderate sunshine without too much wind exposure .

Pic 2 Probably one of the many Euonymous japonicus cultivars ; fairly amenable to most situations .

Second photo looks like a Euonymous Japonicus Microphyllus Variegatus or Microphyllus Aureovariegatus. Can thrive in both sun, shade and partial shade. Not too fussy on soils as long as it's reasonably free draining. Maximum height around 2 ft, so quite a compact evergreen shrub.
