Taking over my hedge
in Plants
Hi, I was wondering if someone could identify this troublesome plant for me. It keeps taking over my hedge and has no flower
Any help would be greatly appreciated as unfortunatly I don't have a clue

The look of it growing out of the shrub seems like it Sorbaria Sorbifolia, False Spirea. In terms of leaves, they remind me of a kind of Jaminum Officinale, but the scale is wrong.
Thanks for the reply. It grows at a very fast rate. Any treatments recommended apart from digging the root out?
For your situation, I recommend a systemic weedkiller. One where you paint into the leaves whilst it is active and in the sun. I'm assuming you have never been able to locate the root area. But do check around, it could be possible that this plant has strayed from your neigbours' gardens.
Ok thanks. I have tried digging out what I thought was the route and it seemed to do the trick for a bit but it's back with a venganence.
I think Borderline is close with Jasminum, but not officinale, J. beesianum, maybe which has tiny pink flowers occasionally among huge amounts of green. Cut out and keep cutting out any bits that appear. Plants can't live without leaves
