I just planted the bulb in a pot this May. I am new gardener!! I live in zone 5a, so hopefully it makes the winter. I do love the colour an every bulb has bloomed.

It's not a poppy but an Anemone coronaria (probably in the De Caen group.) They are perennial if happy.

Yes, if it likes where it is growing it will come back each year, usually a bit earlier than this though - March or April.
