moving plants

Hi all new to forum ! Have plenty of questions sorry ! 

I have a bed that at the moment looks a bit haphazard and if like to rearrange things , when would be the best time to move things around and any tips for moving ? Thanks in advance ☺

    I was sure it was autumn so thats confirmed , thank you ! Any tips to help keep them healthy after the move ? ☺

    Water them well before, dig up as much root as you can, water well in the new position, mulch in the spring (depends on your soil and the plant you're moving as to what works best). image

    Oh and take photos while they are in flower or at their biggest size (for most things that'll be now or in the next few weeks) so you remember what they look like and how much room they'll need when planning the moves.

    Thats a great tip , ive been trying to plan where to put them but to take photos now when they are at their best will help a lot ☺
