Yeah i thought that too. I first saw the plant in Jo Thompson's garden at RHS Chatsworth and it was definitely a single. Great Little Garden have got back to me and said that it is a double flower which is weird because when you go to the official webpage for the Mystic Dahlia series http://www.mysticdahlia.com/ they are all single flowered!
Hmm, maybe they're cashing in on its popularity and selling something similar under the same name! For under a tenner is it worth a go, the colour appears to match if not the number of petals?
I understand Bob, but it will niggle at me if it's not the same as the ones i saw at Chatsworth and the one i already have. I'll just have to try and be patient
Hi Tom :-) Just found your thread about the elusive Mystic Fantasy. Unfortunately, I lost my plant a couple of years ago and have not been able to find a replacement ever since. So, if you have taken seed from your beautiful plants this year, would you consider selling some to me, please? Look forward to hearing from you.

I had a word with my local garden centre and they are ordering me a couple of plants. They should come in later this week for me to look at!
Here's my new Mystic Fantasy dahlias in the front garden with Astrantia Major, Salvia Caradona and just out of picture, lavender hidcote
A stunning combination Tom - well worth all the searching.

They do
really happy with them! Might even try to work some in the back garden!
Give it a couple of years Tom and you'll have so many tubers you could fill the garden with them
