  Hi

  I must admit when picking my rasps I also get some with black edges or discolouration however I think this is down to the actual ripeness of the fruit once picked as not sure in your case but mine once my rasps start I have to check daily to collect as once ripe they will turn in a few days going downhill .

  I also when on holiday encourage my friends at the allotment to collect so no waste

  Pictures show my first punnet of rasps this year Glen Ample summer fruiting canes and also Autumn Bliss which are later to follow which will mean I have rasps to pick from now until October
