Strawberry itch?

Bit of a strange question!
Every time I harvest our strawberries my arms are itchy afterwards, with a slight rash that disappears quickly. We have straw under the strawberries, but I don't think my arms have too much contact with the straw. There is a fair amount of contact with the strawberry leaves though...
Any ideas?
On the plus side, I've harvested about 10kg up to now, and there is definately more to come!

A reaction to strawberry leaves is quite common. Occasionally, people can have a true allergy to strawberries themselves, which can be severe. Use gloves when harvesting as you are sensitive to the irritant leaves.
