Cutting back Campanula lactiflora Alba

This plant is in full bloom at present and I have read advice to cut back after flowering to encourage a second bloom.
Can anyone advise how far I cut the plant back. As you may tell from the image, it is quite a tall plant and there are signs of side shoots emerging right down the main stems.

Hi Paul
I have the blue variety which I've had for a few years. I take off just the flowering tops when they finish as like yours there are lots of buds lower on the stem which continue the display.
If cutting it right back to the base produces a further flush, I'm sure we'd both be keen to hear, but I don't think it would happen

Thanks very much Pete.
I think I'll take your advice and just cut to some developing side shoots.
I had a feeling that cutting to the base would be asking too much of the plant later in the year.
