Plant Identification

Hi. We have this huge plant in our garden and I have no idea what it is! It dies back each year and has been in flower for a few weeks now. It grows very tall as the photo's hopefully show. Do any of you have any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance. Emma

    There is a golden-yellow foliaged form also available .
