Hypericum - Advice please

I have some hypericum growing happily in the shade under my big tree.
As I had a few "baby" plants growing in the lawn I dug them up two years ago and put them in a gap in the flower bed by the patio which is in full sun. They aren't doing so well. They flower but the leaves are pale yellow and mottled.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

They do suffer with rust and you can cut them back, but I'm not sure that's what this is I'm sure someone will come by soon and give more information .

I have hypericum rust too. It looks awful.
