Unknown plant! Is it edible?

Hello everyone!
i have been growing rainbow chard and everything so far has been going very well. All of a sudden one of the plants has grown about 6 inches higher than the rest and looks sloghtly different. I've looked though books and used different apps and all sorts but can't identify it. I've attached pictures, hope you can help and thank you in advance!

Its run to seed. Pull it out to give the others space.
just to be clear though it is chard, and the leaves are still edible but they get tougher and more bitter when it does that. They will all do it eventually
