My new westeria is dying in the Phoenix heat

My new westeria vine seems to be dying in the Phoenix heat.
I tried placing into a large pot and getting it out of the direct sun into the shade.
I am making sure to keep the soil from drying out. But the leaves are all dried out and I'm worried I'm loosing it .
Will trimming back the vine help or what more can I do not to loose it.??
