Can anyone identify these

both plants should be easy to identify by their height and flower - they're both at least 6 feet tall, yellowy flowers and perennial.

One has flowers a bit like a daisy, the other has very distinctive feathery flowers

p.s. how do I add pictures - these didn't seem to work?

Don't worry about the pictures Chris - the same thing happened last weekend and it is just a glitch which should be sorted when the team are back in on Monday. One definitely sounds like one of the sunflower family (the daisy like one) but I'm not sure about the other one.

By coincidence, just watched Gardeners World and my 'feathery' flower appeared on it.

    It's apparently a Thalictrum..

The daisy one could be giant scabious. Is it pale yellow?

    See original post

I think you have it - it does indeed look like a giant pale yellow scabious - I just looked that up on RHS and seems to be an exact match.
