cross polination, it is possible?

Just been out picking raspberries, etc, we have "wild" blackberries in the garden about 10 feet away, thought there were "oval" shed blackberries ripe, said to Hubby, its a bit early, we wonder if they had cross polinated with the raspberries, just looked it up, someone said she was told not to plant blackberries and raspberries nearby because this can happen, and the reply was that this isnt possible, have I got Tayberries, raspblacks, blacksrasps or what?

Well, if they've grown from seed, yes .... there are quite a few crosses in the raspberry/blackberry family .... tayberry and loganberry are just two of them.

I guess they could be Tayberries or Loganberries.
