Identification please

Hi all.
can someone please identify this bush/shrub please? I'm on holiday in Majorca and also wondered if this will thrive in the U.K. climate.
Thanks in advance.

Tricky without a photo, but Oleander is always a possibility

Hi James. It looks like Bougainvillea to me and it will not survive here unless you live in the most sheltered southern area. They can go out in the Summer but need to be protected in the Winter as they will not survive frost. Nice in a conservatory.

Not oleander. Bouganvillea - widely grown as hedging shrub in warmer climes - no scent - best grown in a conservatory, or outside in a very warm spot during the summer in England.
