Found these little blighters during a dead heading session last night, does anyone know what caterpillar they are? I had no idea caterpillars munched roses!!

Rose sawfly caterpillars - I snip off and bin any leaves affected - they seem to like some particular rose varieties while leaving others totally alone.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
