Anyone got a view on whether I can compost foxgloves with the intended destination of the compost being veg beds?
Also, can I compost the seedpods (as soon as the flowers have gone, so still largely green and presumably undeveloped) or will I be seeding my veg beds with foxgloves?
I've got a dalek, but it's not in full sun and I don;t give it much attention, so probably not "hot composting".

Yes Rob, you can safely compost foxgloves and you should be safe if, as you say, you add them to the compost heap directly after flowering. Shame though
Thanks Ladybird - don't worry, I've got an armful of first years coming through and there's no chance I'll catch all the seeds before they find a home!
As far as I know, you can compost all sorts of plants that would be poisonous to eat. You're not going to eat the compost, any more than you would eat horse manure or chicken poo, and yet most people will happily use these on food crops.
