Cordyline

Hello there, any advice/help would be much appreciated.  Recently dug out of ground well established 6ft green leaf cordyline and transferred into very large patio container. Not sure if in shock from removing from ground, but over last few weeks it seems to be looking rather unhealthy, leaves turning from yellow to brown. Is there anything I should do to bring it back to life I do not want to lose it. It's in good soil mixed with compost sunny position, is watering an issue too.

Many thanks

Thanks for reply Philippa, it's not one of those huge patio containers I purchased one appropriate for it's size to enable growth. I know the leaves die off as it grows, but the leaves since the move have discoloured from bottom to top which I feel might be the shock of removing from the ground as you say in mid-summer. I am hopeful it will recover given time. Any other advice most helpful.

Phillipa is correct, I have various cordylines in pots, and an Australis and another brgunday planted in shingle in SW facing very sheltered garden, hardly ever get watered TBH
