Use of Pond Water To Irrigate Veg.
in Fruit & veg
I would like to know if it is safe/advisable to use water removed from my garden fish pond from time to time to water round the roots of my vegetable plants. Also whether the silt from the bottom of the pond can be used to enrich the soil in the vegetable garden or compost bin?

Thanks for the reply Doghouse Riley, interesting as I also have acid soil and have camelias, acers, rhodos and one azalea, and yours look great. However does not answer my initial food safety question so if anyone else can help with any authority I'd still be grateful.
YES YOU CAN
is that enough authority?
but I wouldn't recommend drinking it
