Strawberry Plant Runners vs Strawberry Stem vs Leaves

Hello.
I was wondering how I can tell the difference between a runner, a strawberry stem growing, and leaves growing. What do all of them look like when they are growing. I want to know because I want to cut off the runners and I don't want to cut off leaves that are growing or blossoms.

The runners are just long green stems, they'll grow about 60cmts long and get some leaves on the ends, these you pin down in a little pot of compost, they will grow roots and there's your new plants for next year.
