Dead Bonsai?

Should I give up? ????
I got this last year and I sort of neglected it. I can't remember what type it is but it produces red berries in autumn.
It never lost all of it leaves like it should've done. I've been watering it, as my other bonsai recovered, and I was hoping this one would do the same.
If it is dead what should I do with it?image

Whatever it is it looks pretty dead to me.

If you don't have a compost heap or garden incinerator you could  put it in the rubbish bin?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

looks like it was a cotoneaster,

it also looks as dead as a doornail,

bonsai need a lot of care, think of them as babies, you check on them a lot and make sure they don't get too hot or dry (or wet and cold in winter)
