What are these black insects on my Rudbeckia (photos)

    The resolution of the photo is 3264 x 2468. I'm still puzzled.

    It's jpeg.

  • ok well all i can suggest is resizing down further. my images are constrained to my personal screen size (1900 width max) and have uploaded ok.

     That is enormous! Do reduce it!

    I am thinking that the issue must be down to my tablet device. I have not had problems before on here. I have noticed that my photos have the memory card symbol on them for some reason now. These devices sometimes do things without my explicit authorisation ! I must stamp it out image image

    Doh! So size does matter! I trust the Rudbeckia "invaders" can still be seen (and finally identified). image

  • I don't know whether you can see the insects on my day lily close up above but they are harmless pollen beetles which is what I suspect your insects might be.

    Hmmm, that is what clairvoyant  Marlorena said 9 days ago without actually seeing them.

    Any chance of giving us the numbers for this Saturday Marlo? image
