Clearly not a weed - but a very straggly old pot bound thing.

i am having a sort out of all last year's(and several years before!) to see if there's anything worth saving and putting in the garden.

    Yes it's a campanula. I thinkthat the long stems may be normal for that particular one.

    Looks like C. persicifolia alba to me.   It likes fertile, moist but well-drained soil and can be grown in full sun or partial shade.   

    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Lovely things! They also come in blue.
