How to kill weed roots before sewing new lawn?
Hi,
I have decided to seed over a bed in my garden. The bed was overrun with weeds which I have dug out and levelled today.
My question, is there a product to mix in with the soil which kills all the remaining weeds roots before I spread lawn seed?
If I use a weed killer, will it prevent the new seeds from growing?
Thanks,
Jonathan

No and no. Weedkiller only works when there are green leaves to work on so it depends on how confident you are that you actually dug all the roots out. Or not. As to whether you take the chance and sow seed. If you have left roots in then they will grow again through your new lawn.
