this a clematis it did have white flowers they have gone and now Its growing like this is this right.

So what happens to them
They eventually just fade away - as the seed heads naturally disperse.
Lovely aren't they? My alpina is covered in lovely seedheads just now too, as well as a few new flowers

Your clematis looks like one of the evergreens, James, possibly Pixie, Avalanche, Joe ?
Yes, these are seedheads, difficult to see if any seeds are set or if they are just seedtails.
