Bay Trees problem

I haveimage four bay trees which were until the last few days looking great with lots of new green leaves forming.   However I noticed at the weekend the new leaves were starting to curl inwards.  I thought they were maybe just dry so gave the trees a good feed and water.  It made no difference. I can't see any pests on the leaves themselves. Can anyone help with what might be the problem?

It may just be the heat that's causing it.

Have a very close look at the underside of one of the curled-up leaves, I've got an infestation on my bay's where the leaves are very curled-up with little bugs inside.
As mine is out of the way and it gets the infestation every year, I do nothing about it. Still plenty of leaves for cooking, but I've never bothered to find out what the little beasties are

  • No bugs on the trees but  have given them a spray anyway.  Hope you're right and it is just the heat.

    Thanks Pete !!

You've sprayed your plants although there are no bugs on there and you'e been told it's probably just the heat  image

You've sprayed something you're going to eat image
