Advice on aloe vera

I've had this aloe Vera plant for 9 months and has sprouted 2 flower shoots which have produced new aloe leaves and one has proudeced its own flower shoot looking for help on how to remove and re plant as can't find any on line...

  • I don't know for sure but if it was mine I would put a plant pot with well draining compost underneath the plantlet's and secure it onto the top of the soil and it should put roots down into the soil.

    once it has done this you can then cut it from the mother plant and he presto you've got a new plant.

    someone might come onto here in a bit and say something different  but this is what I would do.

  • Thank you for advice I do that with my strawberries just wasn't sure if it was same with this type of plant as didn't even know they produced flowers

    I think that is a haworthia rather than an aloe.

  • Have looked that up on line and think you might be right...do you know what to do with the new leaves growing off flower stems?

    Do as suggested above and as long as the compost is really gritty they should root. Spray with water to keep them moist but not wet.
