Tree dying/diseased
Hi I wonder if anyone can help?
I moved into my house 4 years ago and as a new build the house came with a sapling tree. This tree has now grown up and has had a few problems this year. half of the tree has died and I noticed legions on the bark of branches.
I am still unsure what type of tree it is, can someone help identify the tree and perhaps give me advice on how to treat it to save its life if possible.

This looks like a field maple, Acer Campestre based on the leaf you have presented. From the photos, I can't see too many issues apart from dense overlapping branches that may need pruning to stop possible overlapping. How old is this tree? Is it just 4-5 years old? I can't see how much of a die-back it is because the photos are a bit too close. Sometimes, trees can be stressed in dought conditions.
I can see bits of peeled bark and rot so it's in trouble, all the dead bits need cutting back into healthy wood without leaving stump ends.
The leaf is field maple shape but the over-all look off it doesn't seen quite right for that.
A photo clearly showing a branch, twigs and leaves on the tree would help ID for sure
